Classic match is shot using a .45 calibre pistol, it is shot over three stages and is a 60 shot match. Many of us enjoy using a large calibre pistol or revolver in competitions, others like to use the old 1911 style pistols. This match is not an olympic or world championship match. Although still competitive, the atmosphere at these matches is normally much more relaxed and jovial.
In Victoria, the .45 is a restricted calibre and can only be used by members that are approved to do so by Victoria Police (LRD).
